Katherine Elizabeth VernonĀ (born April 21, 1961)Ā is a Canadian-born American actress. She is known for her roles as Lorraine Prescott on the CBSĀ Primetime soap opera Falcon CrestĀ (from 1984ā1985), the stuck-up and popular Benny Hanson in theĀ comedy filmĀ Pretty in PinkĀ (1986), Sophia in the 1992Ā Spike LeeĀ film,Ā Malcolm X, andĀ Ellen TighĀ in the 2004Ā SyfyĀ seriesĀ Battlestar Galactica.
